One of the most controversial illnesses in the history of medicine, Lyme disease is among the fastest growing infectious diseases in the US. Yet each year thousands are misdiagnosed while others are denied payments for medical care by their insurance companies. Middlesex County is one of the fastest growing areas for Lyme in Massachusetts. The film will be followed by a panel discussion featuring neurologist Luz Ruiz, and clinical psychologists Sheila Statlender, PhD. and Leo Shea, PhD. Doors open at 3:00 pm and refreshments will be available. An exhibit featuring a variety of information and products will be held before and after the film, which will be shown at 4 pm.

Under Our Skin is a dramatic tale of microbes, medicine, and money, this eye-opening film investigates the untold story of Lyme disease, an emerging epidemic larger than AIDS. You can watch a trailer here or get more information at the film's own site.
